Perhaps one of the most significant and for sure the most colourful event in the world of amateurs of this French legendary car is the “Road of gold”/”La route d’Or”. Every year in late February it’s held by the local 2cv fans club. The rally lasts two days. More than 200 Citroens stop in Grasse, Mouans Sartoux, then in Mandelieu and rises over the hills of Tanneron.
Why the end of February? Well, because it’s a way to say goodbye to winter, enjoy the blooming mimosa and to chat with like-minded people.
